Get involved
Now is a critical time for the survival of the park. We need the community’s support to keep the park open, queer, & nude.
Show Seattle you care and add to the headcount by joining FoDB’s free membership, and read about other ways to get involved.
Who we are
Friends of Denny Blaine are a volunteer-led group dedicated to preserving & celebrating the park’s historic nude & queer character.
We believe that these communities have made Denny Blaine unlike any other place in the Pacific Northwest.
Our fight for the park
Denny Blaine is currently under threat of severe restriction and faces a potential full shutdown due to a lawsuit filed by Denny Blaine Park for All, a group representing “concerned neighbors” who wish to end or heavily constrain public nudity at the park.
Activated by a need to protect Denny Blaine, community members came together to form FoDB. We’re fighting to preserve the unique, historic character of Denny Blaine as it’s existed for the last 40+ years. Our primary work right now is giving a loud, enthusiastic voice in court to the many beachgoers who love it here: we’ve filed as an intervening party in the lawsuit to make sure YOUR voices are heard.
